Visa Run Checklist
Everything to have ready before your pickup. Check it the night before.
Passport
Valid for at least 6 more months, with at least 2 blank pages, and not damaged.
Your current Vietnam visa or entry stamp
Know the exact date your current permitted stay ends. That date, not the visa's printed expiry, decides your deadline.
Your new Vietnam e-visa
Entry gate: Lao Bao. Book it with us, or apply yourself on evisa.gov.vn and check every detail, including name spelling and passport number.
Laos visa
Bring clean, undamaged USD notes for the visa on arrival, plus a passport photo in case it is asked for. ASEAN and a few other passports are visa-exempt.
Phone and WhatsApp
Charged, with mobile data or a roaming plan, so you can send us your exit and entry stamp photos.
Snacks, water, warm layer
It is a long drive and Highway 9 runs into the hills, where it can be cooler than the coast.
